Q43 a restaurant, bar and lounge venue located at the Media One Hotel in Media City on the 43rd floor, is well known for its unique modern, stylish decor with a metropolitan twist. This very welcoming place is split into two areas to distinguish from the bar and lounge area and restaurant. The bar and lounge areas consist of couches, many billiard tables and contemporary paintings that add to the overall unique atmosphere. Overlooking the city with its panoramic view, this place is worth the trip to come and enjoy the overall atmosphere.
On the menu is the Q43 Signature burger, which comes served on a wooden cutting tray with ketchup on the side and salad that I had replaced instead of the fries. The burger came with small cherry tomatoes, pickled cucumbers, cheddar cheese, veal bacon, lettuce, onions and chipotle mayonnaise. I was expecting this 79 AED burger to be wagyu but at least it came with a very generous portion of meat. The bread was a regular sesame bun and nothing particular was noticed. The meat was well done as requested and tender but it had no distinctive taste.
The chipotle mayonnaise definitely added some spice that enhanced the burger slightly. There was nothing significant about this burger and due to its massive size it was extremely messy to eat (in fact it was messy from the moment it was served), which made the overall experience not as enjoyable. The cherry tomatoes and the pickled cucumber pieces kept on falling out and in the end I had to use my knife and fork to finish.
I found the burger quite pricey for non wagyu beef, messy and tasteless meat. My overall rating is 3/5.
