Chez Victor

Burgerlees:

IMG_4361Chez Victor is a gourmet burger franchise on Saint Paul in Quebec City (walking distance to Old Quebec) with multiple locations within the city serving a variety of different burger selection for all tastes. This modern rustic funky concept restaurant offers on its menu vegetarian, salmon, pork, lamb, duck and the classical beef choices to choose from.

IMG_4364Amongst all the available choices I decided to go for Le Classique, which consisted of beef, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, caramelized onions and pickles. The burger was priced at 13.25$ before taxes and for an extra 2.50$ I changed my meat to Wagyu Bio de Saveurs des Collines and my fries for a green salad with choice of dressing for an extra 2.50$ as well.

The burger came served on a white plate in a slightly toasted poppy seed bun with well done beef. In Quebec the burgers always automatically come well done, which works great for me as it is my preference. I found that the meat was slightly dry but the combination of ingredients mixed very well together, especially the cheese and mayonnaise. The bread became soggy but it wasn’t messy to eat.

IMG_4368I quite enjoyed my experience and overall it is one of the best burgers I’ve had in Quebec yet. If I ever have the chance to come here again I would try different selections from the menu. My overall rating for the classical burger is 4/5.
